Inner Peace is a hardcore band hailing from Indianapolis, IN, a city long known for its vibrant underground music scene. With a strong connection to the DIY hardcore, punk, and hip-hop communities, Inner Peace is pushing the boundaries of hardcore music, blending aggressive riffs with raw, energetic rap vocals. The band’s sound is both fresh and fierce, offering something new to the hardcore genre that is unmistakably tied to the cultural roots of their city.

Fronted by rapper and vocalist Drayco McCoy, a well-known name in both the local and national hip-hop scenes, Inner Peace brings a unique fusion of hardcore and rap that’s been gaining attention for its boldness. Drayco, who has been performing in the DIY scene for years, delivers hard-hitting lyrics over the heavy, dynamic instrumentals created by the rest of the band. These instrumentals come from the minds of Tyler Graf (drummer), Ty Rader (lead guitar), Pat Maloney (guitar), and Adam Witmer (bass), all seasoned musicians with roots in Indianapolis' punk and hardcore worlds.

Since forming in 2022, Inner Peace has quickly made a name for themselves. Their debut release, Inner Peace '22 Demo, showcased their distinctive sound, followed by the Inner Peace '23 Demo in April 2023. Most recently, the band dropped their FLOORBREAKER EP in September 2024, further solidifying their place in the hardcore scene. Inner Peace hit the road for their first tour in August 2023 and have shared stages with a diverse lineup of artists, including MSPAINT, The Mall, Soul Glo, Janelle Monae, and Gary Clark Jr.

With each release and performance, Inner Peace is not just representing themselves, but also championing the Indianapolis hardcore scene. Their mission: to put their city on the map, and to prove that Indianapolis is a force to be reckoned with in the hardcore and rap worlds alike.
